This meeting was for the following purposes:
- 1. To act on the report of the Nominating Committee and to elect the members of the Search Committee for the Synod Executive/Stated Clerk.
- 2. To act on the report of the Governing Body Relations Committee and to approve Standing Rules for the Synod Assembly of the Synod of Southern California and Hawaii.

About the Synod Assembly

The Synod Assembly is composed of commissioners elected by the presbyteries and officers elected by the Synod Assembly. It meets at times and places designated by the Synod Council to worship and conduct business appropriate to it.
The Synod Assembly has primary responsibility for, but may delegate to commissions or the Synod Council, approval of:
Vision Statement (see panel at right)
Mission Design ( with Design Graphic)
Ecclesiastical and Corporate Bylaws
Overtures to the General Assembly
Elections (Will be reported at Assembly meetings, as available)
Budgets (Will be reported at Assembly meetings, as available)
